Veteran Takes His Life In Front Of VA, VA’s Response Is Sickening!

As many of you know, we have an alarming rate of Veteran committing suicide in America. The blame falls solely on the lack of care available to them from the VA. Now many may continue to call this suicide by our hero’s, I do NOT! I believe that while they may be the ones carrying out the act in the end. The VA is assisting them along the way to bring them to the point of “suicide.” The VA’s hands have BLOOD on them, they are at the very least guilty of assisted suicide. Sadly it has happened once again.

76-year-old Peter A. Kaisen was a Navy Veteran and retired Police Officer, went to Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center on Long Island. Where he was seeking treatment for mental issues that he had been battling for some time, according to his son-in-law.

An anonymous hospital worker told The New York Times that Kaisen was angry after being denied care in the hospital’s emergency room for issues related to his mental health.

“Someone dropped the ball,” the worker said. “They should not have turned him away.”

A spokesman for the hospital told the Times that there “was no indication that [Kaisen] presented to the E.R. prior to the incident.”

However, the worker seemed to draw a direct link between Kaisen’s alleged hospital visit and his suicide, saying, “He went to the E.R. and was denied service. And then he went to his car and shot himself.”

According to Times, the Northport hospital had closed all five of its operating rooms after black particles “began falling from air ducts,” and has since been “under scrutiny for mismanagement and poor care.”

The spokesperson for the hospital should have to come out from behind their desk and look people in the eyes when they lie. It is absolutely sickening that they can lie and try to cover up that they turned this man away. Maybe better this person should spend a year or so in front of the enemy then come back to our current system and see how much change is needed.

In my opinion, Mr. Kaisen did this in the parking lot of the VA because he wanted people to know what happened to him. Hoping maybe others would get pissed off enough to fight back and make changes before the next HERO loses hope. How many of our Veterans have to die before we care? How many widows have to be made before we say that is enough? When are we going to demand change in our healthcare system for the men and women that have fought for our freedoms!

This is not about agreeing with the wars they fight, it is not about agreeing with war at all. You don’t have to agree with any of it. WHY? Because men like Mr. Kaisen fought for your freedom to disagree. Without men like him that were willing to give his life for our country, we would have NO freedoms. So the least we could do is show them the respect they deserve by making sure they receive the best care when they need it.
